The Museum Journey: The Universes of Leonardo da Vinci The Leo Lev Museum presents the permanent exhibition “The Universes of Leonardo da Vinci”, an immersive journey that reveals the secrets of Leonardo's Achademia. The itinerary takes visitors directly to the Master's atelier, between Milan and France, following the research and attributions of internationally renowned scholars, first of all Prof. Carlo Pedretti.

Faithful reproductions of paintings from private collections are exhibited, essential for reconstructing Leonardo's work and pictorial invention through the analysis of preparatory drawings. The Museum celebrates the importance of Leonardo's workshop, the place where the revolutionary techniques that still constitute the most precious legacy of the Vinci Genius were experimented with today.

Art, Costume and “Invisible Music”

To enrich the experience, the Museum dedicates a special section to the history of Renaissance costume. Through the reconstruction of period clothes, visitors can deepen the visual link between the fashion of the time and the characters portrayed in the Master's works.

The entire journey is surrounded by an exclusive sound atmosphere. Leonardo defined music as a 'figuration of invisible things', considering it complementary to painting. He himself was an excellent musician and inventor of instruments. To honor his passion, the original soundtrack of the itinerary was composed by the artist Mario Costanzi and recorded in Vinci, at the Mulino del Ronzone studio, offering visitors a multisensory experience that combines vision and listening, just as the Genius dreamed.
